Last week of school break for my kids. It is so nice to take a break from the regular schedule, but I didn't slow down! I took this week to "redoux" one of my girl's bedrooms. Hopefully will post on it next week.
Tonight I am heading down to LA for a Sister's weekend! Ahhhh, vacation.Love all the talent you share, thanks for the great link ups. Here are the highlights from last week.
1st off, I have been loving this blog from The DIY Showoff Rochelle and her husband live in an old Farm House and they are blogging all about how they are transforming this old home into a decorator showcase. She has beautiful tastes, and great ideas. You have got to go see the rest of the kitchen after you check out this post. She even has an Ottoman in the kitchen that she built herself, complete with fabric she designed herself!
Next I have 551 East Furniture
This, believe it or not, used to live as an Organ! What a beautiful job she did rescuing this piece. And, she shares a new tool I have never heard of before. Go check it out to get the details!
I love when someone comes up with new way to fake something. Lisa from Lisa from "A Vintage Vine"
shared this amazing secret. She give all the details on how to get this look at her post. Great work Lisa, it does look like stone!
This Chest is so decidedly gorgeous, it has my tastes written all over it! This is from Decidedly French
I love the detail, and choices of color. This looks like a very expensive piece of furniture, just gorgeous.
And last, I have one of the best Redouxs I have seen, ever. I wouldn't have believed the "after" piece if I didn't see the before. Deborah from "Upcycling my Life" took these "Bound for the dump" bookshelves, and patiently and perfectly gave them new life. Go see her post for even more pictures,
But she did save it! And completely transformed it. I truly could not believe it was the same thing. Looks brand new to moi!
