You know how it goes when you start "redouxing" something in your home? It quickly spreads to all areas. On the list for "redouxs" has been ripping out the carpet on our staircase and painting the sub flooring. I know, I can hear the audible gasp, but I have seen enough examples of how amazing it looks, with the right preparation. Key here is PREPARATION. I was concerned about how to let the final coats of paint and top coat dry without stepping on it. I didn't think I could ask my family to go up and down a ladder for a few days while it cured. Suffering husband suggested we do every other stair, to completion. What a fantastique idea!
I have a similar lay out to this picture, I am so inspired to make this a reality. (My floors and walls are not this gorgeous though!)
