I found this table for about $10 and have had it for a while now. Not quite sure what to do with it, suddenly it was saying "Black and White to me". I have been enjoying "le constraste" of Black and White and having fun with different fonts on my little pieces of furniture.
Here is my little table before, a little sad, but just needed some cleaning up:
I actually started painting the leg before I remembered to do a "before" picture"!
I used ASCP "Old White" on the top
Here is the top, a little word play, Cafe Black and White.....I am SO obvious!
And ASCP "Graphite" on the bottom, a little distressing, a nice coat of wax, and she is ready for her close up.
Here is "le complété" project.
It had a very brief happy time at Paris Flea Market before it went home with a new owner, right after opening hours!
Just remember, sometimes life is not all Black and White, but it sure looks good on furniture!

Such a sweet table! I am glad I'm not the only one that starts to paint and then remembers to take a picture lol
ReplyDeleteHi Karen - very lovely! I love that Graphite color (ASCP) - I've only used it so far to dull down a louder color. But I will be using it soon - now that I have seen your table.
ReplyDeleteI will be looking for a store to put some of my furniture pieces in. How did you decide on the Paris Flea? Does it have a healthy clientele? I always worry that some of the stores in my area might be hurting - and my piece might languish.
Keep in touch...
Linda
