I worked on the "boffice", I borrowed this term from Lisa at "A Vintage Vine", who is working on her "cloffice", closet office. It is my office bathroom.
The original paint treatment was something along the lines of caked poop meets wine cellar gone bad, and I don't drink! But, I know a bad "faux" treatment when I see one. This was one of my first "experiments", that I didn't correct.........for 7 years.
I know, painful to look at. Imagine trying to have some solitude with this next to you!
This is the new neutral. I bought chalk paint to Redoux the Cabinets!
Can't wait to try out this fab new product that you are all raving about.
Oh yes, I have to touch up the trim too......the faux also spread to the trim by accident, making it look like, well, let's just say my little boy has outgrown the "whoops, I missed stage",
Trust me, you don't want to see it..... Instead, look at the lovely Gray......
Et maintenant pour le Joli..........
(And now for the Pretty one. ......... )
Spring is here in Nor Cal and we are truly enjoying our mild weather.
My roses have begun to bloom.
I took a couple snips of the first color to showcase an old Redoux.
This dresser was a "Free To Me",
Friends of ours were moving to Manhattan and they had to shed 99% of their furniture.

Free furniture!
I really did not need another dresser, but I had always wanted to try my hand
at converting a dresser into a storage space/bookshelf.
I knocked out the top drawer supports with a mallet, added a piece of MDF, a support behind the dresser, decoupaged some old Toile I had for the inside, aged it with my favorite wax, and did a several step paint treatment with my favorite Modern Masters Basic White, Coffee Bean Glaze,
and lots of colorant straight out of the bottle.

It is lovely to have more storage and I love that it was FREE!.
Now, show off what you did this week!

Oh girl.....I am loving that "free dresser"...Using a mallet, knocking things down/out can be so theraputic! I am liking your second choice on paint color too (boffice)!! I am always having to redo..so you only needing to, in 7 yrs., makes me giddy!
