Stir Sticks in your Garden

le jardin!

And a happy little paint accident......

It is Spring, and here in Sunny California, we are able to plant now!
We spent last weekend planning and planting, and now we are just waiting......

I wanted to come up with an original way to mark my Veggies.  I like things "free".

These are always lying around, and you can grab a handful and no one will bat an eyelash.

(I often do)

Stir Sticks from Home Depot:

I made some slits in the top of an old shoebox to hold them up

1st coat, Red Spray Paint

2nd coat, Cream

I used a Black Paint Pen to write in the labels:

Because I like my things to look old, I slightly distressed them, and added this wax:

Here is the finished product.  See anything growing yet?

I planted more than this, but I didn't want to bore you with a complete tour of my dirt.....

And!  Here is my happy accident!

This paint finish occurred on the Plastic Coated Shoe box.
I wish I could replicate this on furniture.
Maybe dip something old in plastic first, then spray it with cheap spray paint.
For a really good happy accident, check this out from Miss Mustard Seed:

Now, go play in your terre!

Don't forget to come back for the linky party starting this Friday, I am keeping it open all weekend, so link all your fantastic "Redouxs"!!
