Finally, the day is sunny, the project is completed, and I am ready to share with you my newest creation.
Here is the Before:
A Bar Cart I picked up at a garage sale for $3!
I added a scrap Piece of MDF to expand the top surface:
A Galvanized Bucket I picked up from Home Depot
Another piece of MDF, cut to the size of the top of the Bucket, and a handle applied (I bought two handles, and decided to go with one)
Used my "free to me" Google Paint in Yellow, Spray Paint by Rustoleum in "Paprika" and stenciled some fun letters on it, and Voila, we are ready for our next party!
I love that it has a lid, when it is in direct sunlight, it will keep the drinks colder. I used an old basket, painted it the same color as the bucket. Now we have a fun bar cart, a place to stash extra snacks, cups or party supplies. All we need now are some friends to come over and enjoy it!
I chose the word "CHILLAX", a term frequently used around here, borrowed from one of our favorite movies, "School of Rock".....
Here is suffering Husband at the end of the day yesterday....finally he got to sit down and pose for a picture for me!
Here we are again:
avant
après
I am hoping to get a full tutorial up and how I built it later today! Stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteI love this! Just pop a few bottles of wine in there to chill for me... oh. wait. :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this is brilliant! Hey are u on twitter?
So cute!!! I love this little cooler. The "chillax" saying makes me giggle though because my Dad absolutely hates that word, so we use it as often as possible. I came over from The 36th Avenue.
