I am so happy to be here with you this morning guest posting @ Karen's fabulous blog! As a self proclaimed lover of all things home, you can find me most days at my blog, knee deep in furniture makeovers, gardening, and DIY projects! Today I would like to share with you a project I did last spring....My Mini Mudroom. Our back entry goes out to the garage and the clutter that built up there drove me crazy! The space was not big enough for a large "Mudroom" but I knew we needed something to make it more organized....After searching, I found this idea here on the Martha Stewart site. Her idea was a bit bigger than I needed so I modified it to my space........Here is the final project.

To make this project we purchased EKBY STILIG brackets from Ikea, pine shelves and molding from Home Depot. Then I primed, sanded and painted the ikea brackets, the pine shelves and the molding.
Finally, we assembled them based on the size we needed.
To round out the look we added (painted) flat paneling board to the open area and added hooks for easy access to jackets and bookbags....For more storage, my final purchase was $5 baskets from Walmart to fill inside the shelves.
Here is another look at the final project.
Karen, thanks so much for having me over today! Have a great day and thanks for visiting!
