We are embarking on an amazing project. She had a small fire and candle melt down to the top of her dining table. What a fantastic opportunity to transform this great piece of furniture into a one of a kind dining piece.
This is the table now, it is lovely, but the top has a great deal of damage:
This is the inspiration. We are somewhere in this neighborhood:

But can't post the actual picture of inspiration, they don't let you take images from the website, (go figure...) so click here
Think Mackenzie Child's meets old world patina. Won't get started for another month, the calendar is thankfully full! Now, to finish all the projects on the list.....
Have a lovely weekend everyone. -K

Oh my goodness! That table is going to look AMAZING when you are finished with it, can't wait to see it!!
ReplyDeleteI love MC - I met Victoria once at the NY Gift Show several years back. She's very vibrant - red hair and all. One of my friends who lives in Manhattan told me that her child got invited to one of Victoria and Richard's kids' birthday parties on their floating boat home. She said that the place was done up to the nines - as you would expect. Victoria and Ricahrd started their own co. after selling MC to American Girl(I believe).
ReplyDeleteI've done a few pieces a la MC - it's always a great look. Can't wait to see your transformation!
