The Funkiest Furniture in the West, Elvis Style

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the strangest city in the West. Las Vegas.  Suffering husband has a conference in the city of outrageousness.   LV is weird  because in one 4.2 mile strip, there are more things to ignite a creative imagination than any other 4.2 square miles I can think of in the West. I know, I know, I know, it is all commercially driven, but wait. I found some of the funkiest furniture around. 

 1st up, the leaning tower of drawers.  Not too practical for storing your clothing, but pretty fun to look at.  A great use of all the broken drawers that have lost their home in a chest.

Next on the tour was the log o'chairs.  The chair backs were actually secured to the log.  A great place to chill while you are waiting for someone to finish their turn at the slots.   Actually, the ever present furniture security would probably chase your rear end off of it if you actually dared place it on this piece of art. 

 Next up, Suffering Husband poses for a picture with the ultra hip chairs at Bobby Flay's "Mesa Grill".  The decor in this place was amazing, (comme était la nourriture).  The chairs seats were all done in red leather, and the backs alternated between Vintage Cowgirl print, to Black and White Cow Hide. (sorry vegans, look away)

 Last but not least in the tour was the out of this world collection of folk art furniture outside the House of Blues.  The entire inside and out of this tres cool restaurant/night club was all decked out in handmade pieces. 

What Blue (get it....) me away the most was the use of one million bottle caps, all individually placed into the furniture.  Look closely, all the dots are bottle caps! 

 

I loved the use of old license plates too, maybe the furniture was made in furniture prison?  (bad joke)

Although, none of the pieces I saw would I actually be able to use in my home, well, maybe the tower of drawers?  However, it did spark my creativity to truly think outside the box, or should I say drawer, bottle cap and log.
