What? I am losing Le Style Français? Non!!!!
That would never happen, but, I am changing things up a bit around here. It is interesting how our tastes evolve as we age, live in our home for a few years, kids get older, etc. I am a francophile through and through, but I am shaking things up a bit in my decor. To start with, I finally decided it is time to purchase true NEW furniture, well, only one piece. We have had this beautiful Settee for years, it has migrated all over my front room. It was the very 1ST piece of furniture we bought when we signed on the dotted line for our home. Le problem? It is extremely uncomfortable, and really has only served as a great spot for taking photos.......
We have grown up a bit since this photo.....
And learned to sit a bit more lady like...
Comb our hair (even if it looks odd...)
And go to our first formal, is she really this old?
And here, just before the (gasp) paint job....

The wood had been chewed on a few times by my then puppy dog, and truly, it was a fakey finish over wood anyhow, so I had no qualms painting it. One coat of ASCP "Graphite", one coat of clear wax, and
Un
Deux
Trois, Fini!!!
And here she is at my space at Paris Flea....she lasted only about 5 minutes.
Stay tuned, tomorrow we will be saying
"Au revoir mon français Chairs!"
