Friday Redoux Link Up Party #33 and "les préférés"!

1st thing, I am pinked out!  Did you see my new profile pic?  I am quite content with my "la petite ville simple" life, but every once in a while I get a wild hair, to have well, wild hair. Anywho......if you are interested, I have some hot pink going on for the holidays. Now, lets get on with the party!

one more teensy bit of news.......if you missed this post on my Hemingway in Paris Dresser I just wanted to do a little self promoting and let you know it is at 551 East Furniture Design  and at A Vintage Vine today.

Thank you for all the fantastic link ups.  I have several projects I want to try!  My list is getting longer and longer.....

Before I share all the fabulous picks, I had to share this table from a reader "Theresa".  She doesn't have a blog...yet!  But she had asked me for some information on paints, she was inspired by my French Flag table, and look what she created!  This was her FIRST project.  How amazing is that?  She emailed me the final picture, I am so thrilled I inspired someone else to put their own spin on a fun project I did.

Now, let's take a look at "le mieux" from last week.

shared this beautiful room makeover.  I love this room Redoux, just some simple changes with paint, but it looks so different, you have to click over to Penny's blog to see the before, but the entire room is so lovely, I could definitely live in this room.  (It looks nothing like the loft/playroom in my home Penny, maybe you should stop by....)

Next this project just hit me right in my heart.  I have wanted to try a decoupage with fabric on furniture for some time now, but keep putting it off, not only does Kim from Too Much Time do a fantastique job on this, she has a tutorial!! Oh happy day for moi.

If you haven't yet tried Chalk Paint, well you are missing out, it is STUPEFIANT! Yes, the price is high, but I have found a little goes a long way, and the results are just beautiful.  If you bought it and are worried about trying it, or unsure, here is a wonderful tutorial from Design Disorder

A little Place Called Home shared this great Armoire Redoux.  There are so many good Armoire makeovers out there, this one is so beautiful, the panels have been replaced with burlap, and all the knobs are different.  I even have one of the exact same knobs on my pantry!

I love the industrial look that is so chic in furniture, but it can be expensive to either buy, or track down the pieces to make one.  Sunshine on the Inside shares a  fabulous tutorial on how to make this factory cart.  It looks like the real deal!

I love this color Yellow, this is just the cheeriest little piece from The Lytton Life

And now......for the Grand Finale of link ups......I saw this DIYer when my friend Lisa from "A Vintage Vine"
featured this on her blog last weekend.  I could not believe my eyes, this is EXACTLY what we want to do on our staircase.  This girl, did the whole thing entirely by herself, and this was here first big DIY project, now that is impressive.  It looks like a professional carpenter came in did the work.  You have to check her blog to see the befores, she pulled carpet up, put new wood down, did all the cuts, I am in awe!

 Now it is your turn!

Good Time Charlie only has a few rules.....
1. Grab a Friday Link up button from my side bar and  PLEASE display on your blog

2. PLEASE LINK BACK HERE AT THE POST, OTHER'S CAN THEN EASILY JOIN THE PARTY!

3. Be friendly and visit each other's blogs. You never know where your next great idea may come from.

I will feature the GTC's sélection next Friday

  5. Oh I am so flattered to be included on your post Karen. Thank you so much for the lovely compliments. As excited and thrilled as I truly am, funny how I look at all the other efforts by others and think my project is only so-so. I ask you/everyone, Why is it we are so critical of ourselves? I think sometimes we are our worse enemies. I know that's how I am anyway. Perhaps a personality flaw that lacks confidence, hence insecurity issues. Needless to say you made my day and I can't thank you enough. I have never had a creative bone in my body. BUT, now I feel I can tackle all those other pieces just lying around my house waiting for a can of paint & creative vision so they too can be REDOUX'd. (pun intended):-)
